Because of Christmas

This year we have seen, experienced, and perhaps even participated in great evil. Our world groans, we hurt, and our souls cry out. Because of Christmas, we have hope. This hope does not disappoint but instead is an anchor for the soul. Jesus’ resurrection proves that good is stronger than evil, truth greater than lies, love stronger than hate, light darkness, and life more potent than sickness and death. Because of Christmas, good wins over evil. Jesus’ resurrection proves it. Jesus’ resurrection proves that God can turn death into life and transform the sinner’s heart. Jesus’ resurrection is for us. Because of Christmas and Easter, we have hope – hope for ourselves, hope for today, hope for tomorrow, and hope for forever; because of Christmas, Jesus wins.
